Flowers of the Shore

Oh, flowers lining the shore
looking to the sea as you adore
Swinging with the wind trying to soar
Bending against the sky's downpour
You always stand tall to the open vastness
Planted firmly for all to see
Standing together in the perfect harmony
I can hear the ocean playing the sounds of life
I'm but a rock looking up past them from behind
Looking out to the infinite possibilities
And thinking to myself "You are so beautiful"
As the sun shines down on you and you glow
With the heavenly bliss that plants me in the earth
Makes me grow and become a tree for everyone to see
With vines wrapping and hugging my every inch
To the ocean I continually stare and wonder
"What are you trying to say to me?
You are but the most perfect painting"
The winds rush through me and shivers my very branches
and whispers in my ear "The world is yours.
You just need to see that everything is already there.
Everything is already perfect" I just need to realize
Realize that this is home and not worry of the world
I will see it one day, through the wind
The the tales of the oceans and the birds
All passed along through generations
And my leaves will travel along the winds
Seeing the parts of the world, the beauty
Returning to regale these adventures to me
All the while the flowers sway in front
Smiling at the easiness of life
The dew drops dripping off their petals
Like a instance of tears on the cold
And we stand tall together and watch the ocean
Until there are no more tales to tell
Until we embrace one another
And we inevitably wither and die
Our dust flying up to the clouds
For the sky to cry, one last time
Raining down on that one spot
Where the flowers stood on the shore
