Brickbats only helped me to grow
Like water to a rose
From a crack in the road
That drove us to a better place

I struggle in silence

They don't know about the story
They don't know how far I came
People only see the glory
They don't know what I endure
They don't know if I'd contend
Never knew about my life...
But they talk as though they did!
Everything you hear are lies
Everything they say is fake
If they focused on themselves they wouldn't have the time to hate
I'm referring to the few who have nothing good to say
Oh they'd rather put you down instead of helping you be great
