smoke another cigarette,
drink water that my face needs
to calm this fever heat,
shut the door
it's opening
on another time,
in my eyes
I drop from the bridge
and rewind,
fall from the edge
and climb,
ask if you would
push me outside,
take me away,
let me remember
more physical pains
all in one day
we have the sun
clasped between our hands
and the coldest, bleakest,
deepest of miseries
