Look At The Sky!
the sun sets as it always has and will
you tell me to look at the sky
you say it's beautiful
look at the colors!
I tell you
it's pollution,
enhancing particles
all you can do is frown
next you call me negative
which I find perplexing,
why must the truth be so ugly and unwanted
why is seeing things for what they are negative
you want my eyes and mind covered like yours
I get it, the colors and such
yes, yes beautiful
but on a grander scheme it's fucking ugly

condemnations of 'negativity' are born of the fears & a fake ego-based 'self-awareness' unconsciously designed as distraction
unfortunately, for us all, those of us who blithely judge others as 'negative' are following the same delusions of self that are the 'collective' distraction most easily accessible to them.....no one is to blame
if their 'positive thinking' had any component of equanimity to it, there would be no need to competitively 'brand' anyone else with the scarlet N letter
Equanimity is a 'self-awareness' with too painful a pricetag, as it calls into question one's own need to polarize, compete, be superficially judgemental.....all(such self-questioning) of which don't 'sell' well in the mass market.
this poem points well to a frailty which we all share, & are so unwilling to see.
~ I hope yr taking notes. Y'never know when yr gonna be hit wit a pop-quiz ~

Dear Nikki, a very interesting poem here with a message wrapped in your ironic sense of humor, but you are right, pollution is so awful.
In Bergen there is LOADS of it, I really think it is awful that so many people refuse to not use public transport whilst the town is spending much money on building a subway etc.....
Pollution is also in the minds of people.
