Everlasting
Your heart was a casualty of war
mine was sacrificed for truth,
where in this mess lies beauty,
is it dead too?
was it just a mask ugliness wore
to seduce the mind?
In the garden agony grows wild
tears reach the roots of evil
no seed was ever planted
it just grew
and grew
a monster is born
Trapped inside myself searching for you
you're here, somewhere
I can hear you,
whispering about the past
screaming about the future,
I will silence you
Nothing in me lives,
except you
everything else is dead,
decaying and rightfully so
yet you and that voice wont disappear
so I swim through my mind
looking for that place where memories dwell
trying to neutralize the pain
mine was sacrificed for truth,
where in this mess lies beauty,
is it dead too?
was it just a mask ugliness wore
to seduce the mind?
In the garden agony grows wild
tears reach the roots of evil
no seed was ever planted
it just grew
and grew
a monster is born
Trapped inside myself searching for you
you're here, somewhere
I can hear you,
whispering about the past
screaming about the future,
I will silence you
Nothing in me lives,
except you
everything else is dead,
decaying and rightfully so
yet you and that voice wont disappear
so I swim through my mind
looking for that place where memories dwell
trying to neutralize the pain
