The Blind Girl I Love, Janie
Guess how Janie, the blind girl, picks her partner?
First, she listens to him (or her) speaking and if she happens to be interested in what is being said, she moves closer... If she gets the chance to get close enough, she takes a deep breath and if she likes his (or her) smell, she takes the next step...She puts her soft hands upon his (or her) cheeks, closes her eyes (for aesthetic purposes), feels his (or her) face for the right amount of tenderness...and then she puts her lips to his (or hers), tastes his (or her) juices in her mouth...
If she doesn't like the first kiss, she leaves it at that...But, if she likes all these things, then why not, she thinks, I like this mate just fine!
Janie doesn't see tatoos, or blue eyes, or skin color or height or looks for that matter...She lives in the dark, in a primeval forest of pure thought...(she likes to think and talk a lot).
Problem is Janie is tired of being alone and wants a partner but she doesn't want another blind person (that is her one and only condition).
I wonder why she, a blind person, would choose to discriminate against the blind but she has her reasons, she says, those being that she wants to try something new (her previous partners had all been blind).
I told her, (as a fellow blind person) that Janie, you are being hypocritical like this but she says she doesn't care, she knows she is biased against her own kind but she wants someone who sees so that she can travel and move around without her dog.
She says she wants to experience things only seeing people experience...(and she says her life is so boring and that she wants adventure).
I said, Janie, I suppose that is good enough of a reason, but am blind and I love you...Please give me a chance. She said, you are alright, Melanie, I like you a lot but you are blind like me and I want someone with sight.
This got me so upset, like what a bitch, I wasted all this time with her...All I could think to say to her (and it still doesn't make sense to me) is, "the blind lead the blind".
I still love Janie so much even if she doesn't want me. Like I said, something about the blind leading the blind...
(Janie hates being blind but she never shows it and only I know but I keep this a secret (at least I try).)
