Cellar Door
I feel my attachment here fading,
My soul seeping and invading,
The depths within the floor.
Cellar Door.
Down into the Earth I go,
Sinking too a place I know,
A place that came before.
Cellar Door.
Cool concrete swirling, engulfing
My monotone memories turning.
Writhing serenely in my core.
Cellar Door.
Though there is a hallowness to what I feel,
My wounds some how continue to heal,
And my emotions out pour.
Cellar Door.
I open my eyes in a different place.
A single year down my face,
A wanting hand reading for,
The Cellar Door.
My soul seeping and invading,
The depths within the floor.
Cellar Door.
Down into the Earth I go,
Sinking too a place I know,
A place that came before.
Cellar Door.
Cool concrete swirling, engulfing
My monotone memories turning.
Writhing serenely in my core.
Cellar Door.
Though there is a hallowness to what I feel,
My wounds some how continue to heal,
And my emotions out pour.
Cellar Door.
I open my eyes in a different place.
A single year down my face,
A wanting hand reading for,
The Cellar Door.
