The Vision
The air rushing past me.
The ground seeming closer
And closer.
Ending with terrible pain.
Everyday
Every night
I have this terrifying vision.
Falling
Ever so quickly.
I cannot put into words
What it feels like
Landing at the bottom.
But it hurts.
Quick and terrible pain.
I can feel my body breaking
Like a glass on a tile floor.
So painful.
Not the kind of pain you get
When you get a cut,
But more like your heart physically breaking in two.
Such pain shot through my body as I hit the hot,
Texas asphalt.
I don't want to remember,
But I am trying to find the answer.
Why do I see this?
What it happening to me?
Is this how I die?
Or maybe how I did die...
Not sure any more.
Maybe it's best not to know.
The ground seeming closer
And closer.
Ending with terrible pain.
Everyday
Every night
I have this terrifying vision.
Falling
Ever so quickly.
I cannot put into words
What it feels like
Landing at the bottom.
But it hurts.
Quick and terrible pain.
