Soft music playing in my mind
Whenever you're around
your voice, like a drug
calming me from the inside
a soothing melody that no one can hear

then dark skies came,
the sound of thunder enveloped me
burden of pain poured
like rain from the sky
engulfing my world

a quiet storm within me, is what I feel
something you will never know
Let me hear you laugh
One last time before I say goodbye

My feelings blazing inside
Tension and love combined
an ambivalent tune
with a rhythm of its own
I wanted you to know
but somehow, something holds me back

If my music is your burden
let me end the melody
A deafening silence
I shall suffer

If its any consolacion for me
let me keep a memory of the melody
before i get consumed
by the quiet storm within me
