Taken for Granted

The thinnest of glass surrounds me,
But gives so much to the world,
Where would you be without me...

I give radiant light,
To millions upon trillions,
Of things
Everywhere...

Houses,
Houses of spouses,
Cars,
Bands on stage, strumming guitars...

Tiny filament inside,
Glowing,
Showing,
Showing you the way home on the cold winter night,
Above in streetlight do i dwell to help your sight...

Blackness without me,
You see..
Ha! you see now..
Funny isn't it,
Scary too, can you imagine a life without me?..

No you take me for granted..
You worship many things.

But without me,
You wouldn't see..
At night..
Especially..

I decorate your tress in a December month..
I am the first thing you give attention,
To when you arrive home from a night on the tiles..
Half drunk..

You see..
Bear me a though..
Give me a second glance..

Just imagine life without me..
How would you be?..
Thank me..
For my daily devotion to your life..

Yours Faithfully..
Sincerely..
Thankfully..

Mr or Miss Light Bulb.
