Full Moon Dreams
I long to howl to the luminescent moon
to tear my clothes and run in its shine
but here I lay alone, always so very alone
covered in blankets but cold to the bone
crying out, longing for my one and only lover
to make me scream, to shiver and to shudder
I groan as the familiar ache starts to grow
in the light the moon dreams will clearly show
the pillow will be wet from my hidden tears
because on a full moon I am my own worst fear
fire scorches its way through my icy blue veins
lighting flashes, thunder rolls... oh the rain
I silently beg for my brain to settle, to rest
I dearly love and deeply fear the haunting moon
it breaks my control, rips open my fragile cocoon
to tear my clothes and run in its shine
but here I lay alone, always so very alone
covered in blankets but cold to the bone
crying out, longing for my one and only lover
to make me scream, to shiver and to shudder
I groan as the familiar ache starts to grow
in the light the moon dreams will clearly show
the pillow will be wet from my hidden tears
because on a full moon I am my own worst fear
fire scorches its way through my icy blue veins
lighting flashes, thunder rolls... oh the rain
I silently beg for my brain to settle, to rest
I dearly love and deeply fear the haunting moon
it breaks my control, rips open my fragile cocoon
