Doorway to a broken heart
I stand in the doorway of our bedroom
the wine sits stagnate in the glass we shared
unable to move on, my mind replays every touch
I crave everything about you
the sighs and moans still echo from each unspoken word my tongue caressed
I see the stars in your eyes
smell the rose petals scattered across the bed
your flesh consumes me with the warmth of your desires
stoking your fears into submission
surrendering my heart
I stand in the doorway of our bedroom
staring at the now wilted petals
emptiness surrounds me
with the realization that you’re gone
the wine sits stagnate in the glass we shared
unable to move on, my mind replays every touch
I crave everything about you
the sighs and moans still echo from each unspoken word my tongue caressed
I see the stars in your eyes
smell the rose petals scattered across the bed
your flesh consumes me with the warmth of your desires
stoking your fears into submission
surrendering my heart
I stand in the doorway of our bedroom
staring at the now wilted petals
emptiness surrounds me
with the realization that you’re gone
