Wishes of a vagabond

Inverted colors before my eyes,
There on the sparkling horizon,
Above oceans, soaring butterflies,
There lies she who gives life reason.

She’s there, above in her balcony,
Protected by impenetrable ramparts;
The maiden incomparably lovely,
She who Infatuates all passing hearts.

May I be the one she goes easy on?
A past knight, only slightly chivalrous;
A wistful and tired vagabond,
Who with one more trip-life’s dance be done

And still wishes upon a star:

May I feel butterflies in my stomach,
May I feel vulnerable,
May I feel the need to be of service,
To protect, to care, to accompany.

Dear God, give this wanderer, this knight,
Reason to live! Reason to fly!
To soar across her side by night
And to fall…to land and beside her to lie.

Give this lover chance to be loved.
