Medusa

I gather behind like flustering bed sheets,
pearl surfaces of jellyfish, warping.
I am gentle medusa;
It’s not fair.

I wish I could constrict.
I wish I could kill you with these wafer arms.
I wish I could bite you,
but I have no mouth;
I am gentle medusa.

I am a bubble of lukewarm air
and I tickle your skin.
I am your lazy wishes,
It’s not fair.
