No strings attached was what we said
Tried to abide by the rules but lost sight instead
Where did you come from
I just want to feel numb
Who knew it would come down to this
Go from a toxic thrill to something we'll miss
So overwhelming with confusion
Everything's so perfect to create our own illusion
I want you in the worse way
I'm trying to explain this but unsure of what words to say
I have to try to keep you out of sight & out of mind
Well than lord please make me forget & be blind
Because we both know deep down this is real
Nothing left to explain our actions will reveal
Time will tell in every situation
It will be the ticking clock for your future, the main dictation
But when are you going to realize your only getting older
You & your other have time invested but seem to be only growing colder
As you lie next to her every night, you still feel as if your alone
That love connection that once existed has all become unknown
You love her to death but are you truly happy where you are
To hold no conversation, no affection but still stay is what's bizarre
I am not one to judge or talk as I used to be the same way
Confuse with what was with hope and sympathy in mind and at play
You always put everyone and what they feel before yourself
For once disregard everyone's two cents like putting a boring book back on it's shelf
Like I said before time will tell and I know it will all fall into place for you
I will always support you in whatever you pursue
I really don't want to ever lose our connection
The way you laugh smile and kiss me with no limits to our affection
We flow so easy no effort ever needed
Couldn't even think or feel to have things receded
I know we'll never really fall or be apart
simply any relation even if it's distance to not involve our hearts
this is rare to feel this emotion and withdraw it from my mind
