West Renfrew

(This one's about a girl that broke my heart, and how she never really had one for me to break)

I was born almost weightless
And grew up to be so careless
The point is to be pointless
Diving down where the dock ends

And I crashed into a wave
Ended up in a frost
But West Renfrew's lost
And it carried me away

It isn't easy to be priceless
Never thought of you like this
And sadly I must confess
That I haven't made any progress

Found you in a wedding dress
Goddamn, now I'm just a mess
Feel my hydraulic press
Have you seen my meadow cress?

And I bumped into a wall
Ended up stranded
But Calgary is jaded
And that would be all

And I felt my heart compress
When you said yes
And I just wanted to profess
My skin suppressed
It's dead
