Happy Halloween
Into the cauldron the liquid goes
Fire, Fire sets it to bubble.
Inside goes the fungus root
With the spice of death preserved.
The grains of life fall from fingers
The MSG count is moot.
Next goes thickening juices
With the flesh of fowl.
Boiling, Boiling on the flame
'Til it arises in steam.
Chanted spells and muttered curse
Deathly songs sung in secret verse.
The witch's tongue lashes about
The dank alcove with magic steams.
After all this time with skill learned,
I say, My Dear, dinner is served.
Fire, Fire sets it to bubble.
Inside goes the fungus root
With the spice of death preserved.
The grains of life fall from fingers
The MSG count is moot.
Next goes thickening juices
With the flesh of fowl.
Boiling, Boiling on the flame
'Til it arises in steam.
Chanted spells and muttered curse
Deathly songs sung in secret verse.
The witch's tongue lashes about
The dank alcove with magic steams.
After all this time with skill learned,
I say, My Dear, dinner is served.
