Expressions of Terror
No one can take what I have earned
Had Jesus whipped until He learned
Preeminence was mine alone
I ruled supreme on heaven's throne
I gave power to ancient Rome
Made Nero's reign feel right at home
Christians slaughtered and forced to fight
I watched them die with such delight
I slashed the throats of prostitutes
And carved them up beside my boots
The female trash of London's poor
Won't need their organs anymore
For years I was at Hitler's side
While soldiers marched for Nazi pride
I murdered Jews of every age
When swastikas brought fear and rage
I burned crosses behind a hood
Tied nooses tight where life once stood
I bombed churches on Christmas Eve
All for the God that I believe
My only shot tore through King's head
The hope for change profusely bled
His dream of peace I turned to hate
I lead riots to celebrate
I butchered pigs to start a war
Repeatedly I stabbed some more
As Sharon Tate screamed for her life
Her baby's blood dripped from my knife
I poured the drinks to quench their thirst
My flock lined up with children first
A new Eden Jonestown would be
Sheep so eager to follow me
I flew the planes straight into hell
I laughed with glee as bodies fell
The desperate cried engulfed in dust
Those wretched fools in God they trust
Virginia Tech I took in style
Shooting students with a smile
I gunned them down like worthless scum
Retribution has more to come
More suffering I will inflict
On human beings that sin has picked
Throughout the world are souls to take
Mankind will pay for God's mistake

I am so glad you wrote. I love your work. When I first joined a wrote you a few PMs regarding questions. You were very welcoming. But it is nice to see your dark side, no pun intended. I love the many examples you use. The reader really feels your words and the relishes in the mood and the rhyme scheme. Well done.

Only you could make such aweful things sound so beautiful, I love it! Its the "Devils" anthem. Beautifully written.

You expertly held a mirror showing the dark reflections in a sad black world. While tragic, the work shows wit, empathy, and had effective rhyme ans structure. Well done!

rings like sympathy for the devil but gritty realistic in your face, actually interesting and more powerful and although it will never have quite the funk it makes for a good read

Certainly a different cut! A thought provoking, dark piece such as this is needed now and then...you've reminded the reader of certain realities in a unique, compelling way.
