Blue Velvet Margaret

Margaret, I've known you for a long time...

I am following your pulpit, or should I say culprit?
It reminds me I'm alive, even if it's a lie
And the green spots I walk on, seem to move on
And the merry blue velvet, melts and melts

They're just sheets, can't you see them?
They're just bells, can't you hear them?
They're just screams, why can't you feel me?
Walking on glass, in the other side it will pass

I thought you were married, or should I say buried?
Better things must come, I'm sure that they will come
Hanging hand in hand right through the end
How could anyone ever live like this?

They're just stones, can't you roll them?
They're just bones, will you let me bury them?
They're just blank spots, merry blue velvet
I'll follow you until the last exhale blows

If I can't find the right door, what's left?
In the other side it will pass
In the other side it will pass, I'm sure it will pass
We're always so sure it will pass
