What Lies Beneath Me
Brace yourself for what we become,
like smoke, we disappear into nothing.
So alive and afraid.
Will you say you love me?
Just a trace of our humanity.
What I am is what lies beneath,
Cracking soil beneath me feet.
Our bodies mending together.
Drunken voices surrounding us.
Twilight hits and we start to
disappear, just say it.
Whatever lies will help you rest.
And we disappear like smoke into
nothing.
Will you mean it when you say you love me?
like smoke, we disappear into nothing.
So alive and afraid.
Will you say you love me?
Just a trace of our humanity.
What I am is what lies beneath,
Cracking soil beneath me feet.
Our bodies mending together.
Drunken voices surrounding us.
Twilight hits and we start to
disappear, just say it.
Whatever lies will help you rest.
And we disappear like smoke into
nothing.
Will you mean it when you say you love me?
