Such a creative metaphor--taking control of the remainder of Life's journey...actively determining one's destiny...(from the known, to the unknown)
Another remarkable painting, as well!

And what did you find when you got there?

Re: brush strokes
As I can see
from your ravishingly beautiful painting
you didn't simply painted
your way plain across your life.
There seem to be valleys and hills,
curves and straights,
waves and deserts, even a volcanoe.
What a rich life it has to be!
Poem and painting, an enthralling unit ...

True, I do tend to take the roads less
traveled, which are often full of surprises,
I never know where I'm going until I
get there...

I was never much of a painter. Best painting I ever did was painting a bedroom wall, & even messed that up in a few places. I'd definitely hang that one up. I find the colors in that one very soothing & hopeful, with an adventurous twist, much like this poem. & that's what art is, an adventure from one side to the other, the peaks & valleys in between. Much thanks, jagracia.

Adventures lead to movement as you
suggest. Stand still and stagnant.
thanks for your insightful comments.
