Dichotomous Mercury

Tidal locked Mercury
Small dichotomous globe

One side Fire
Forever tormented by the sun

One side Ice
Forever cloaked in darkness

He, born of Fire
She, born of Ice

A love that could not be

They met at the terminator
Locking gazes
Across that infernal line

She was perfect
Eyes of deepest blue
Hair as bands as snow
Drifting across her shoulders
Cascading to curvaceous hips
Light blue skin
Smooth and opalescent
As the purist of crystals

Advancing together
Forbidden touch
Sizzling hands
Across frozen skin
Sensual moans
Escaping her parting lips
As he found her breasts
Soft mounds of carnality
Steam rising from every touch
Gliding hands down luscious sides
Clutching the backs of her thighs
Lifting, spreading
Legs locking around his waist
He lowers her onto his flaming shaft
Lust feeding desire
Labyrinthine passion
Her body writhing, heaving
Working him deeper inside her
He meets her thrusts with his own
Frenzied ecstasy
He explodes inside her
Releasing the power of the Sun
Into her insatiate womb

They merge
Neither Fire
Nor Ice
But one soul, complete

The power of their love
Possessing our little world
Rotation restored
The gift of life
Born of Fire and of Ice
