Window Leftovers
You told me you were crying in bed
I said I was doing that myself
But what if we leave everything behind instead?
And stop feeling like the same's itself
Don't you feel cheated too when it doesn't rain?
Or when the sun goes out just for a bit
To get through the night your love's to refrain
When we're alone, no fire can be lit
Whatever it is that you carry
Seems to be heavy
I know, that I'm meant to hold on
And I promise I'll try to hold on
Hold on
You came along in the form of a bird
That left traces of white stellar dusk
My body feels like it was stirred
We must do what we want, not what we must
Each goodbye resembles eternity
So well that I can't begin to explain
I will always be a share of this city
There is no need to complain
Whatever it is that you carry
Seems to be heavy
I know, that I'm meant to hold on
And I promise I'll try to hold on
Hold on
I know I'm supposed to forget
Whether I am or not caught in a net
And I promise I'll try to hold on
For as long as air calls my lungs home
I said I'd hold on
Hold on, hold this moment
So and so
Hold on
I said I was doing that myself
But what if we leave everything behind instead?
And stop feeling like the same's itself
Don't you feel cheated too when it doesn't rain?
Or when the sun goes out just for a bit
To get through the night your love's to refrain
When we're alone, no fire can be lit
Whatever it is that you carry
Seems to be heavy
I know, that I'm meant to hold on
And I promise I'll try to hold on
Hold on
You came along in the form of a bird
That left traces of white stellar dusk
My body feels like it was stirred
We must do what we want, not what we must
Each goodbye resembles eternity
So well that I can't begin to explain
I will always be a share of this city
There is no need to complain
Whatever it is that you carry
Seems to be heavy
I know, that I'm meant to hold on
And I promise I'll try to hold on
Hold on
I know I'm supposed to forget
Whether I am or not caught in a net
And I promise I'll try to hold on
For as long as air calls my lungs home
I said I'd hold on
Hold on, hold this moment
So and so
Hold on
