Stuck in Guilt

You plead guilty
When the birds of infidelity
Stand on your shoulder
They twitter every day, into your ear
You know you are condemned
without judge Or jury

You still use the ring
a guilt-circle, the shiny platinum
encircles your finger
Gripping it hard
A reminder of promises
At the altar of everlasting love

Your bride, she knows
How your eyes wander
you grin at other women
with appealing smiles
who smells sweeter
with better curves

You are stuck in guilt
Nowhere to run but forward
Sign you the dotted line
Let loose the freedom call
Among the chicken the fox
But guilt will always strangle you.
