Image for the poem What planet for our children?

What planet for our children?

We have extracted all the oil from our earth
What will be volume remaining to our children?
Just, as a gift, monoxyde of carbon in the air
Is produced by muddle of consumption of oil

We have produced plastic bags for nothing
Used them during one hour and put as garbage
And finishing in the ocean like new continent
Which recovers a part of the surface of ocean

We have used nuclear energy to warm our feet
To forget the cold and the warm in our houses
And our children must be worried about waste
During thousands and thousands years in earth

As Chief Seattle said (an old indian in 1854) :
“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors;
"we borrow it from our children”

And every day, we forgot this quote!
