I See You
Hey you
in the middle of the crowd,
you're the center of attention
with your expensive clothes
and every hair in place.
I know your secret,
under it all, you're insecure.
Hey you
in the corner.
All in black, with your hair
hiding your face. You say you
could care less about fitting in,
but with every sideways glance
I know being the outcast kills you inside.
Hey you
outside,
you play women as much as you
do sports.
But that uniform can't hide
the sweet side you have
and your dream of a family.
Hey you
sitting at home
with you calculations
and homework.
Underneath, your personality
is just waiting to burst through
and make friends.
Hey you,
they tell you who you are
and you start to believe,
even though you know it's not true.
They'll say you're not good enough,
or you can't be who you are.
But, do they really matter?
in the middle of the crowd,
you're the center of attention
with your expensive clothes
and every hair in place.
I know your secret,
under it all, you're insecure.
Hey you
in the corner.
All in black, with your hair
hiding your face. You say you
