Ashes to Dust
Pillars of gold built on the blood of the fallen;
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust;
All to be blown away by the harmattan gust;
Determined to get what I want I will,
I must; Before it all turns into a pile of dust;
A cold heart so beaten and so damaged;
Lay in a cage being raped and rampaged;
Who would be so cruel to allow such carnage;
A heart over run by a car with high mileage;
Ashes to ashes;
Dust to dust;
All falls asunder when friendship turns to lust;
Get what I want, I will and I must;
Before my soul turns to metal and rusts.
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust;
All to be blown away by the harmattan gust;
Determined to get what I want I will,
I must; Before it all turns into a pile of dust;
A cold heart so beaten and so damaged;
Lay in a cage being raped and rampaged;
Who would be so cruel to allow such carnage;
A heart over run by a car with high mileage;
Ashes to ashes;
Dust to dust;
All falls asunder when friendship turns to lust;
Get what I want, I will and I must;
Before my soul turns to metal and rusts.
