The Rain Falls Faster Now
The rain falls faster now.
She sits still in her car gripping the stirring wheel, breathing fast through her nose, eyes full of confusion. Her hair drips from the rain.
The thought of the cold lifeless body on the blue and white kitchen floor surrounded by dark red liquid, she still feels the warm wooden handle of the bloodstain blade.
She starts the engine and slowly drives.
She shakes not only from the cold but also from the adrenalin rush.
She starts to gain more speed.
She glances at the bloody towel in the passenger seat.
Still the thought of watching the blade
puncture through his skin gave her chills of satisfaction, seeing his eyes stare into hers as she pushes it deeper into his chest.
The thrill of such a gruesome act brings a smile to her face.
She drives on.
