Technology
Don't get me wrong
I am not anti-technology
some technological advances
are very useful and have been
a blessing others not so much
here are things about technology
that drive me crazy:
1. Self-flushing toilets
these things seem to flush whenever
except when you need them to
sometimes they start to flush when you
enter but not when u leave
Oftentimes I wonder why these gadgets don't work
for me -- maybe my forcefield does not mix with theirs...
2. Sinks that have motion detector activation
sensors to dispense water -- same issues as
above-- water comes out randomly and rarely as
long as you really need it
I remember a time when there were levers we
could push ourselves -- now we at the mercy of constantly
malfunctioning sensors.
3. Hotel room keys that don't open the door because the
sensitive sensor has been impaired by being next to a cell
phone or something like that
4. Touch pad technology that works randomly also
All four of the above irritate me and I wish they would just let us pull a
good old fashioned lever or use a simple key or make mini manual keyboards
(That they actually offer now --the ipad mini has one that goes with it.
Apparently I am in good company -- Jerry Seinfeld did a bid on his show about the faucets.
Enough said -- I just had to get this off my chest.
