Aghast
I stare in wonderment

A light

Surly not here

Not in this home of darkness
Insecurity and fear's abode

Not in this place of claw gouged walls
Where the monsters run rampant
Where the beast behind the mirror's eyes
Has made his home inside

A growing light inside
A shred
A glow of hope

Grow
Dear god please grow

I will hide this precious light
So he will never see
For surly he'd extinguish it
The moment that he knew

Little light
I plead for you to grow

To the place I once knew
