Leading Lady repost
Filling my dreams with a loneliness, A habit that's hard to break.
Like a nun I vowed the silence to begin. As the deviant predators
of my sleeping world would start to play, Like a jukebox repeating
the same popular song of my life so far.
I knew the rules..
Run.. RUN!!!
They had pre planned my obvious failings One step ahead as I ran
on the spot, Getting nowhere. Uploading memories I'd long since buried
deep, They would act them out again, With me cast as the leading lady.
Uncut and extended they demanded more every time. Their aim, To keep
me involved, A slow burn, Not to go all rushing and have me awake and
Ieave the scene as it's building up to the final cut. Now..
That was my story, Or should I say dreamscape.
Then you came along. Where the hell had you come from?
I wasn't expecting you in here? Not like this.
You told me to stop running. You took my hand
You made promises like you were throwing up confetti.
You made me smile as my eyes focused upon you
You made me laugh as you wiped away my tears.
You took me to places without predators demanding a leading lady.
Me? I'm a director now I make my own movies
The way I want to With my leading man beside me always.
Playing the scenes together. It's sure to be a box office smash.
They..
They are never too far away,
But my Leading man is close at hand and heart.
