Starry Night

Hello Starry Night,
Hello Starry Sky.
Hello Smiling Moon,
I can see you way up high.

Waahh!
The Night is soo pretty,
The heaven's are soo wide.
I just love looking at it,
I'm mesmerized by the sight.

Look! A shooting star,
I should make a wish.
I wish Mommy would get better,
since she's really sick.

Daddy said,
I should pray to the guy
upstairs, for he has the cure.
I don't understand,
I've checked
we don't have a second floor.

Never mind that,
I've got one more wish,
let me see.
I wish Suzy,
in my class would stop
picking on me.

The moon sometimes floats above,
like a giant mint lollipop.
And some times it looks
as if it's having a great laugh.

When the moon is too far up,
that I've got to strain my neck.
Then I know it's about time,
for me to go to bed.

So goodnight starry night,
goodnight starry sky.
Don't miss me too much Lady Moon,
for this is not goodbye.
