Dearest Anne ;
there had to be a plan
But from it all you just ran
you ran from pains
Greater any should ever bear
But lives were saved
Cause you took the time to care
You felt hunger while others ate
Cause you learned to share
They are healthier you are wiser
You watched death before your eyes
While parts of your soul died
But for others you tried to be strong
They say you got it all wrong
But where would you be today
If you did it there way

You sat on the bleachers
Awaiting the final dance
But he passed away
before you got the chance
they say you got it all wrong
But you never had to say good-bye
To the friend who held you when u cried
Years later you took the stage
You spun like never before
Never hitting the floor

But memories shared
With those who heard the song
Dearest Anne; theirs had to be a plan
But you just ran
They said its too far don't take the car
So you took the truck instead
On the road you got stuck
But a friend you found
Turned life around
Think of the butterfly effect
Where it goes who knows
Take that walk in the woods
On second thought maybe not
He held on longer maybe
It made you stronger
Remember the tracks at the dam
You got out of that jam
Lessons learned ,tables turned
they say don't mix work with play
but hey; you got your job done
So they looked the other way
In the end free time you found
And love came around
Your life might not be as theirs
Your dreams are big
Don't ever loose sight
But even when you do
Know you got another right
They say you got it all wrong
But they don't live your song
