Traversing Oceanic Seascapes

I swam in an ocean
filled with open rays
smelling the current
as it carried me away
turning to lie upon my back
blinded perfect by a moment
seeing shapes emblazon
the minds sky directed heading
kites with tails soar over
swooping through like dragons
breathing hot fires surveying  
clutched pearls held in protection
as I sigh content
just floating along
where waves swell and fall
trusting the ocean to move
under the heavens
where I can be dazzled
by morning and night time stars
