A Hilltop Scene
Rolling hills of green
Support one girl’s pensive stance
Her eyes search the horizon
And her focus is drawn inward
A slow breeze caresses her hair
Her countenance is glossed with tears
A black bird circles
Dark clouds are gathered overhead
She begins to sing
A song of tragic love
Soft tones
Perfected notes from a flawless voice
Her melody echoes softly from hilltop to valley below
Years of longing had created such desire
Rarely known
Barely known was she amidst her kind
Her song climaxes
She looks to the heavens above
A red tear from heaven falls on her face
It mixes with a lone tear that slides upon her cheek
Her voice ceases
It echoes three times more
Then silence
On the rolling hills of green
Support one girl’s pensive stance
Her eyes search the horizon
And her focus is drawn inward
A slow breeze caresses her hair
Her countenance is glossed with tears
A black bird circles
Dark clouds are gathered overhead
She begins to sing
A song of tragic love
Soft tones
Perfected notes from a flawless voice
Her melody echoes softly from hilltop to valley below
Years of longing had created such desire
Rarely known
Barely known was she amidst her kind
Her song climaxes
She looks to the heavens above
A red tear from heaven falls on her face
It mixes with a lone tear that slides upon her cheek
Her voice ceases
It echoes three times more
Then silence
On the rolling hills of green
