rainy day
The sound of thunder crashes all around me
As the sky has opened its flood gates
Sitting there starring threw the window pane
As water trickles down
Such sorrow follows the rain
Like death to the day
The sky wears black as it mourns
And the rain like tears
Flashes of lighting here and there
To show its rage
Such an empty feeling on days like this
Like your hungry but not for sustenance
Something in you is missing
The rain starts to lighten
The clouds ready to migrate else where
As the clouds open up
a beam of sunshine shows
And it continues to grow
The rain finally comes to an end
And in the horizon a rainbow appears
Nothing but refracted light
But it fills that emptiness
No matter how dark the day
there will always be a rainbow at the end.
As the sky has opened its flood gates
Sitting there starring threw the window pane
As water trickles down
Such sorrow follows the rain
Like death to the day
The sky wears black as it mourns
And the rain like tears
Flashes of lighting here and there
To show its rage
Such an empty feeling on days like this
Like your hungry but not for sustenance
