Cannibal
Hear the strings raped by the bow,
the screams of torture ringing on electric wind.
Headlights and flashlights and lighters cast dawn in the darkest alleys,
throwing sunlight in to the eyes of the children,
blinding those with 20/20 vision.
Leaves of silken silver and gold on a lake of potent greed,
in which koi do devour all my fears and woes.
I throw myself in to the clouds that lie so far beneath,
drown in a deeper blue than any dream could show me,
bubbles drifting slowly to the ground as I sing my name to the world.
the screams of torture ringing on electric wind.
