When you've loved but have never "loved"
When you've felt but you've never "felt"
Two souls mending and becoming of

One Mind One Art
One Love Two Hearts
The pieces are missing
but not entirely needed or falling apart

I can love without loving
Feel without feeling
Touch without physical intrusions
or pleading

My hearts just as loving
My love is just as strong
My flesh just desires
My mind imagines on


All these and more
And nothing more than this
That everlasting kiss
That begs me for the taking

Yet until this blessed unity
Calls upon the day of celebration
The will shall not prevail
Our souls shall not be tainted

For the reservation held for that day
Holds special meaning and honor
Our mutual respect for love
May heaven smile upon us

While engaging brings joy
While the anticipation tears through my being
The word is not yet acted
at least not as the world see's it

Although I have yet to see that word make flesh
I believe in the words spoken by my father
This truly shall be a gift
Coming in second as one of the greatest and most beautiful of them all
