You
How fast my walls did fall
How high I had built them
So no one would get in
How hard I became
Until you said my name
I was well on my way
To a place
No one else would stay
I was done
I was leaving
I was coming undone
Your voice filled my days
Your words filled my mind
Yet we had never met
Still
you entertained my thoughts
Made me want to stay
Got me to stop
And
Admire the way
Someone who barely knew me
Knew me better than them all
How high I had built them
So no one would get in
How hard I became
Until you said my name
I was well on my way
To a place
No one else would stay
I was done
I was leaving
I was coming undone
Your voice filled my days
Your words filled my mind
Yet we had never met
Still
you entertained my thoughts
Made me want to stay
Got me to stop
And
Admire the way
Someone who barely knew me
Knew me better than them all
