Image for the poem Time Machine

Time Machine

Hearing her voice
tenderly
speaking
love talk insecurities

being
so open
that the outside
has been removed

her laughter
becomes
a laser
light show
of Pink Floyd
medley
golden hits

Emerson,
Lake,
and Palmer
surround sound
stadium memories

ELO
and
Bob Dylan
that we
never saw together

but now
I feel
in her fluttering
giddiness,

and then I realize
that vulnerability
is the new bikini.
