Pressing on
I've been through too much
To turn back now!
It wasn't in vain
The rain I endured
all the pain
that I dried from my eyes
and kept on walking
You can't tell me there wasn't
A reason
A higher purpose
A destined season
Something noble
That would be a teacher
Of a student
that taught a faithful life
lived in strife
From day one
But never let go of the Son
At times He was all i could see
through my swollen teary eyes
To such is a mystery
Because he was never presented to me
But was always there
To turn back now!
It wasn't in vain
The rain I endured
all the pain
that I dried from my eyes
and kept on walking
You can't tell me there wasn't
A reason
A higher purpose
A destined season
Something noble
That would be a teacher
Of a student
that taught a faithful life
lived in strife
From day one
But never let go of the Son
At times He was all i could see
through my swollen teary eyes
To such is a mystery
Because he was never presented to me
But was always there
