A thought while falling
I bask in the thought that
I might mean something
to someone
I look at the stars for answers.
I'm wasting away slowly
Dissipating my heart
hoping someone will collect the pieces
I stand at the edge of the end
The horizon of an inevitable truth,
painful as all hell.
I count my blessings and throw them away
hoping, praying endlessly for plagues
And at the edge of this brink,
I clip my own wings
To fall without hope
I spiral with eyes closed
No longer shall I hide
From the shadows of time
Or the grip of fear
I set momentary eclipse upon any light
That I pass through...
And no one will care
because no one will know
wake me up...
or pick the flowers
From which will bloom upon my grave
I might mean something
to someone
I look at the stars for answers.
I'm wasting away slowly
Dissipating my heart
hoping someone will collect the pieces
I stand at the edge of the end
The horizon of an inevitable truth,
painful as all hell.
I count my blessings and throw them away
hoping, praying endlessly for plagues
And at the edge of this brink,
I clip my own wings
To fall without hope
I spiral with eyes closed
No longer shall I hide
From the shadows of time
Or the grip of fear
I set momentary eclipse upon any light
That I pass through...
And no one will care
because no one will know
wake me up...
or pick the flowers
From which will bloom upon my grave
