Artificial Ecstasy

I tried so hard
   this gloomy night
I fought and struggled
   with all my might
I gave it my best
   but it was all for not
It wasn't my first time
   first time I fought
I don't know why I still try
   try so hard
I've tried every way
   played every card
I can pretend
   I know how to fake it
I just wonder how long
