to live another day
I hear your cries in my dreams
and I see you sitting by a midnight stream
I walk off my path to see you, to comfort you
because no one loves you as much as I do
I wrap my blanket around you as I sit down
I brush your hair out of your eyes, you keep your head down
I pull you close and you rest your head next to my heart
you stop crying, and you smile at me as you drift back up to the stars
and I lay down and close my eyes, only to awaken in my bed
The smell of your hair is still in the air, it's the moment I always dread
I go out in the darkness of the new Moon, for your star shines bright
... oh how I miss you so, but I see your smile in the skies at night
and then I know, I can live another day...
and I see you sitting by a midnight stream
