My friend

My Friend
Take a look, my friend.
Somehow nothing seems real.
Take a look, my friend.
Have you forgotten how I feel?
I might just fall asleep tonight,
With tears that twinkle in the night.
Tears like stars they shine so bright.
I might just fall asleep tonight.

I might just lay my head tonight,
But not before the tears I’ve cried,
Have faded in the evening light.
I might just lay my head tonight.
Get a hold, my friend.
You’re breaking down the house you’ve build.
Get a hold, my friend.
You’re breaking down the heart you’ve filled.
Filled with love, love for you.
That has been build by what we went through.
My heart is like a house,
Ad the stairs… you went all up.
But when you kept on leaving,
That house, it has been locked.
Get a view, my friend.
Open you’re eyes, because I know I can’t do it.
Get a view, my friend.
And see the face on which you’ve spit.
I might just fall asleep tonight,
But my dreams, they will not change.
I might just lay my head tonight.
Yet it doesn’t seem to me I’ve chosen the right way.
But I had to.
