found in darkness
realization
of a harmless
glance of recognition
on a face
long forgotten
in the place
where I once knew
your warm embrace
a sweet sensation
lost in time
contemplation
and denial
brought us here
to these cross roads
now no matter
where I go
in every crowd
I see your smile
the music's loud
it takes a while
to come to realize
you're not here
it was forever
my greatest fear
to wake up from this dream
and see
that you were never
here with me
