You Don't Wanna Laugh
I'll tell you a little anecdote,
a story of my life.
You'll chuckle away, quietly,
when I told you about my teacher's wife.
I tell you about my anguish,
my malice and displease.
You giggle like a schoolgirl,
giggle at my ill ease.
I tell you a joke about a man in a pub,
but don't tell you the man was me.
You smirk at his ill fortune,
laugh manically away with glee.
I am a comedian,
a messenger of pain.
I tell my anguish through comedy,
I make you laugh as I complain.
Pay me for entertainment,
I shall laugh last.
When you're in work next Monday,
recounting every joke of my past.
a story of my life.
You'll chuckle away, quietly,
when I told you about my teacher's wife.
I tell you about my anguish,
my malice and displease.
You giggle like a schoolgirl,
giggle at my ill ease.
I tell you a joke about a man in a pub,
but don't tell you the man was me.
You smirk at his ill fortune,
laugh manically away with glee.
I am a comedian,
a messenger of pain.
I tell my anguish through comedy,
I make you laugh as I complain.
Pay me for entertainment,
I shall laugh last.
When you're in work next Monday,
recounting every joke of my past.
