22 lbs of 100's

I got 22 lbs of 100's
up against my chest
they say you can't take it with you
guess they haven't seen my vest

started in the saw mill
every day after school
mama said save those pennies son
don't you be no fool

I worked the smokey coalmine
Hauled my share of hay
I did my time shinin shoes
ain't no time to play

I got 22 lbs of 100's
up against my chest
they say you can't take it with you
guess they haven't seen my vest

I ploughed the fields till the sun was gone
no time for a wife
saving up for a rainy day
for the better part of my life

now I got 22 lbs of 100's
and I'm the last one with my name
They'll say he died a millionaire
and took it to his grave
