What they will tell you

They will tell you to stop
or even just to slow down a little
because all they see is that the ratio was three party nights three pukes
and more than a few new bruises
not to mention last night the only part of you that was actually on the dance floor was your physical body
which reminds you..
where did you go?
at the time i thought I'd died
dropped dead on the dance floor
the glamorous death I've day dreamed of for quite some time
but then the lights came back on
last call was over
and i could barely walk out the door
in fact i didn't
not without help at least
sound scary?
let me tell you what actually is
people who live their lives indoors
and in their heads
so go ahead
tell me to stop
to slow down
to cut it out
that I'm headed down the wrong road
that some day I'll regret I ever tried
but then look me in the eye
and ask me if I'm happy
ask me if I'd change a thing

some people were just born to dance
because for me
