Invisible Mail
The strangest thing happened to me today;
an invisible mailman passed my way.
He gave me something that wasn't quite there;
to receive invisible mail is really quite rare.
So I opened up this nothing real, real wide;
only to find more of nothing inside.
The penmanship was so neat and so clean;
in fact, it couldn't even be seen.
The scent lingered lightly as I recall;
actually there was something I couldn't smell at all.
So, I'm writing you back- with love you can bet;
thanks for the letter I never did get
Maybe in the future you'll stop and think again;
maybe hear my voice in your head
I could be out there- where things are much better...;
you could be here expecting a letter.
